Tribal Finance Assistant: Alison Magda

I recently joined the Tribal Administrative Staff as the Finance Assistant. I have previously worked in both the public and private accounting sectors. This is my first experience in Government accounting and I am excited to be gaining new skills.

I grew up in Suttons Bay where I was involved in volleyball, track & field, and band. I earned my B.S. in Biology from Alma College in 1994 while also participating in track & field, concert band and orchestra. I earned my Accounting degree from Thomson Education in 2001 and am currently working on my MBA.

I moved back to Michigan in 2005 after 10 years in Arizona. My husband David and I were married in 2006 and I am now a step-mom to two boys. I still enjoy sports and math and have spent time coaching middle school track & field and tutoring. My hobbies include cross-stitching, reading, playing my piano and singing. I explore my great love for music and traveling when I can and was fortunate to be able to put them together in 2006 when David and I went to Poland with a choir I belonged to.
