Skasgé Power, LLC

Skasgé Power, LLC, a 100% tribally owned enterprise of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, commissioned its inaugural installation of a Power Panel PVT system at the tribe’s community center located in Fulton, Mich. The installation involved the placement of 54 Power Panel PVT solar panels on a single-azimuth tracker to create what is believed to be the world’s first tracking PVT array. The tracker, which is specifically designed for the Power Panel PVT system, was designed and built by Skasgé Power. The next-generation solar panel system will provide both electricity and thermal energy, and the tracker mount will increase energy production of the panels by up to a 35% as the array tracks the sun throughout the day. The 54 solar panels installed for the project have a capacity of 6.2 kW of electricity, and 34.6 kW of equivalent thermal energy.
