Government Records

The vision of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Government Records Department is to grant Tribal Members timely access to historical Tribal documents and official public government records.

To bring that vision into reality, it is the mission of the government records department to:

  • Safely and securely store and preserve historical and official tribal government records,
  • Promote and support the use of archival records as a community resource,
  • Design and implement a record management system to store, retrieve, and make public records available to NHBP Tribal Members in a timely manner,
  • Ensure ongoing records management goals and priorities are integrated through-out NHBP government departmental operations as part of the normal course of business.
